NDN_RN 527 Posted December 28, 2012 I used to be a bag of hot flashes. Hardly wore coats in the winter, never had to turn the thermostat past 65, while evetyone else in the house wore sweaters and blankets. Now i am chronically cold. Today I am coming down with second cold in a month(never ever got colds more than once a year, if that) here I am with a hoodie, shawl and a wool blanket, and I cant get warm. Lost about 60 pounds since begining of Sept. didnt think the cold issue would be that bad
MrsGina 101 Posted December 28, 2012 I lost 30+lbs still on pre op and I'm freezing all the time. Losing all this insulation.
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted December 28, 2012 used to be a bag of hot flashes. Now i am chronically cold-,Lost about 60 pounds NDN_RN you know that having less ski can effect your reaction to temperatures - whether hot or cold. It obviously is more severe for you i also was never cold, due to my "extra" skin - new world now - just wear a sweater, and i'm happy i'm anxious to see how i will react to my first summer at goal - always was so excessively hot - with less skin now, hopefully i will reap the benefits IMO i would rather suffer a bit with a cold than be "heavy" bundle up, hopefully you will not keep getting sick keep warm thoughts, and then cool for the summer good luck to you happy new year 1 NDN_RN reacted to this
gloriann 43 Posted December 29, 2012 I am cold all the time since my surgery. Oh well...another thing to get used to with the sleeve! I love it. Hope you feel better soon. Good luck! 1 NDN_RN reacted to this
Joy0125 95 Posted December 29, 2012 I just had surgery but have already found that with what I have lost already is impacting my tolerance to cold. I was always hot, didn't wear a jacket and now I am always asking hubby if it is cold. Being cold well worth it 1 NDN_RN reacted to this
