Going back to work tomorrow, didnt tell coworkers

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved the 17th and go back to work tomorrow.

I didn't tell coworkers. While friendly at work, we don't hang out on the weekends and like most places, gossip runs amuck.

I told them I was having some things cleaned up and taken out so I could have another child in the next two years (which is true).

I'm down almost 18lbs, it's definitely noticeable in my face.

I'm most concerned with what to do about lunch. I've come up with errands for the next few days but until I can eat normally, I'm sure there will be tons of questions.

I'm just going to try to keep a low profile, which is kinda hard for me ;)

Go slow- stay busy- always be sipping on something.... But I'm four months out and have lost 50+ pounds.., at some point you will have to at least let them know about a new workout schedule you have... It will be obvious

I was sleeved on 12/10 and just went back to work today. Do you sit at a cubicle? If so it shouldn't be to hard to bring your lunch. I get on purees Thursday and it will still be a little hard to hide that but for the most part I don't get bothered too much during the day.

I also didn't tell anyone at work as I work with about 700 people and don't really want everyone knowing my business. In time I'm sure I will tell people. But for now it's just close family and friends.

I will have my VS on Jan 2nd and I told everybody I work with about. They have been very supportive. I think you would be surprised on how some people will support you on your journey that you never thought would care for you. As for the negative comments just ignore them if/when you decide to tell about your procedure.
