ShyV. 32 Posted December 26, 2012 How long after surgery were you able to sleep in your tummy?
Kapoorvilla 117 Posted December 26, 2012 Three weeks to day and although that is not a normal sleeping position for me I could do that.
TheCurvyJones 721 Posted December 26, 2012 I never sleep on my tummy but I probably could right now. I'm a side sleeper and have been able to sleep on my side since around day 3.
MsVeDub 32 Posted December 26, 2012 OMG! I'm doing it now! Is this something that we shouldn't be doing?
ShyV. 32 Posted December 26, 2012 I only sleep on my tummy so I hope not. Right now I've been sleeping on my side with a pillow because I'm still a bit soar.
MsVeDub 32 Posted December 26, 2012 Ya, I was using a heating pad when I first came home on Friday. I didn't sleep on my tummy until Sunday (I was afraid to try). But now I'm ok. I still have some pain when turning at night, but I take it slow.
lilbearzmom 584 Posted December 26, 2012 I am 9 days post-op and I can sleep in any position just fine- LOVE sleeping on my tummy hugging my pillow LOL!
Losin4good 690 Posted December 26, 2012 I was by day 4. I woke up one morning on my stomach and I was just fine. I was so relieved because I have always been a stomach sleeper!
stacie1002 2 Posted December 26, 2012 Those replies are encouraging. I recently read somewhere on the internet (could have been this website) of someone who has not been able to sleep on her left side at all since being sleeved. That made be nervous because I sleep on my belly every night.
SleeveNZ 219 Posted December 26, 2012 Day 3. I had no pain from my incisions ever. 1 MsVeDub reacted to this
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted December 26, 2012 I think I did about one week out. As long as it doesn't hurt, I think you will be ok. Just be slow and careful
