candice1218 22 Posted December 26, 2012 I'm 5 days post op and feeling ready to hit the gym! Can anyone give me advice on what the best things are to do as far as exercise? I'm wanting to reduce the excess skin I know I will have. I know for sure I want to swim but am not really sure if there is a length of time I should wait. Thanks for your input!! Alabamasleever 58 Posted December 26, 2012 Not sure what your doctor would tell you but as far as swimming, wait until incisions are COMPLETELY healed. Chlorine or not, Water caries some nasty bacteria!
Darkkyss 33 Posted December 26, 2012 treadmill the best right now, you have a weight restriction and swimming is a no no right now. do you have a 2 week follow up? ask the doctor then but I know I was on 10lb restriction for 2 weeks then it went up to 25lbs for 3 months. Good Luck

Alamoloser 70 Posted December 26, 2012 Stay away from the chlorine for a month or so, go easy for the first 2 or 3 weeks even though you may feel like taking on the world. Remember, your sleeve isn't going anywhere so make this a lifelong journey. Besides, let your insides heal a bit before your bouncing around and stressing your body out.
