bcorder82 8 Posted December 25, 2012 Ok guys, I'm 5 days pre-op. My diet guidelines say to have a goal of 64 oz. of Fluid per day. Trouble is I've already had my 64 today and I'm still thirsty. Is it ok to go over the recommend amount? I'm new to all this and don't wanna do any damage!
atelux17 135 Posted December 25, 2012 Yes unless your doc specifies to restrict Fluid intake due to cardiac or renal issues. Initially my book said 4 oz per hr but then up to 8 oz is ok per my doctor.
