I was sleeved on Dec 3rd, with no pain, concerns or issues, feeling absolutely great! I would like a piece of plain cake the size of a "Silver dollar size". What I ate today was a very small piece of bake white fish and green Beans (mashed & chewed to applesauce consistency).

Is there anyone else sleeved 4 weeks or less and have eaten something sweet? If so, how did you feel after you ate something sweet?

You are not going to like it. Sweets make the stomach feel queasy and it isn't the most healthiest thing you could eat.

I guess since it was in my presences, due to the holiday's. I can't afford to be queasy, so I better leave it alone

anything sweet will not go make the tummy feel good. its too heavy and you'll get the slimes.

slimes: when you get acid reflex and need to spit saliva and/or throw up!

I find a bite or two of something sweet is good and satisfies me, much more than a bite and I feel yucky.

Hold off on the sweets as long as you can, you may want it but try and quench that urge with fruit if anything.

Im 3 weeks out and just had a piece of chocolate covered candied bacon. So far so good. I havent had any problems eating or drinking except for the first 2 days. This is the first sweet thing Ive eaten if you dont count sweet Protein Shakes, sweet sugar free pudding, sweet Decaf tea (artifical sweetener).

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
