almam 61 Posted December 24, 2012 My issue is that I'm almost 5 wks postop and was on Flintstones chewables. Well my NUT said that I needed to take bariatric Vitamins. Well it's been day 2 and I have nausea and vomiting when I take 1 pills. Is this common?? For now I'm going back to my Flintstones vitamins till I can talk to my NUT again. hugs,<br />alma
Alamoloser 70 Posted December 24, 2012 Is it the bariatric Vitamin brand there selling? You should be ok with the Flintstones like myself, just make sure your getting your extra Iron, Calcium and B12 in too.
stomlin75 161 Posted December 24, 2012 My bariatric surgeon, nurse coordinator and nutritionist all say Flinstones are fine. With that said, I take the chewable french vanilla Bariatric Advantage Vitamins and have no problem at all. I was surprised by this because I had so much trouble taking prenatals during my pregnancies in the past. If the vitamins are making you sick, then you may be less likely to take them at all which would be worse. I suggest you try another brand or maybe get a second opinion from another bariatric surgery center to see if they feel the same way.
