Thinks i enjoy Crystal Light, Diet Snapple, Tea, Gatorade is ok, and especially Water. broth is very good if you like things warm.

I couldn't bare the thought of broth so I chose to buy chicken noodle Soup and strain it. Basically I love buying Soups and straining them. I hate throwing out the good bits but the broth tastes so much better!

Was anyone able to have Isopure sugar free drinks on the clear liquid stage?

I'm post op and that's what I drink immediately for the day. I get my 40 grams of Protein in immediately. You have to sample a few flavors to find one tolerable. :)

It is considered a clear liquid.

I saw some ensure drinks that were Clear Liquids AND had like 9 grams of Protein today at Target! They had peach and promegranate berry.< /p>

I'm looking at more of the nutrition facts for the ensure and I think it has too many carbs and not enough Proteins. Just a second thought!

My doc said no to ensure. I think for the reasons Dobeigh says above. Isopure really high in Protein but you have to taste the different flavors to find ones you like. They are tolerable but not great. Healthy Shot is another but I haven't tried it.

I am, in fact my doctor suggested it! I bought a whole case. It's a purple liquid! They are decent, have a slight gritty after taste. It's better for u then Gatorade.

I meant the one I like best is purple they have several flavors. And yes 1 bottle has like 40 grams of protein!

My neighbor said he lived on Isopure RTD and Miso Soup. Miso is soy-based, so there's Protein there. I went looking for it yesterday at the local grocery store where he said he got some instant packets, but didn't find it. I'll be on the hunt, because I like it.

You gave me a craving and man was it good. All I had to do was run it through a strainer. It was a wonderful change for my taste buds. I was a bit down this morning as I had tried some skim milk with Protein for the first time and let's just say I doubt an ounce was consumed. I'm really hoping it was the protein that didn't agree and not the milk. I so wanted to still be able to drink milk. Miso made my day!!!!

Just an idea for your broth. I bought the resealable broths and before I drink them I add either the beef or chicken bullion granules. It gives it a much needed flavor boost. The Wylers brand bullion is the best

I strain Soups as well. Wonton Soup and egg drop soup a d and soup from Thai restaurants should all be good.

I personally didn't like Isopure (I call it Isopuke, sorry to it's fans) but I tried another one called Cytosport whey Isolate. It's a ready to drink (RTD) bottle with I think 32g of Protein in it. It's a clear liquid and comes in watermelon, tropical (it's green) and tangerine. I like the tropical and tangerine ones. I found them at Vitamin Shoppe.

Miso Soup rocks!

You can also make Jello and add Protein powder to it before you refrigerate. I think on unjury's site they have recipes for this.

Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
