ThinTim??? 0 Posted December 22, 2012 I am a 49 year old man that was recently sleeved at Chesapeake General hospital in Virginia on 12/17/12. The surgeon was Robert Chastanet. Everything went well during the surgery. Hospital, surgeon and nurses were all first rate. I am very happy that I got it done here. I am 6 days after surgery and still on a liquid diet. Still feeling a little pain when coughing or bending over. But overall it is working out great. I look forward to the forum and losing weight. Tim
Beckyyb93 225 Posted December 22, 2012 That's great! It sounds like you are recovering well. It's 100% normal to feel discomfort in bending over, you just had major surgery! I hope you continue to have a speedy recovery and head over to the losers bench soon!

ThinTim??? 0 Posted December 24, 2012 He was great. He is very involved in the entire process and constantly checking up on you. The other doctor (Yancy) left the area for some reason recently. So I am glad that I didn't plan on using him and find out at the last minute that my dr. is leaving and have to start over.

Sweetyne01 12 Posted December 24, 2012 I went to a support group meeting and a person there was supposed to schedule her surgery that week and found out he was no longer doing surgery after working with him for six months. I am also glad I picked Dr. Chastanet. He is probably one of the nicest and caring doctors I have ever met.
