katsmeow 70 Posted December 22, 2012 Sometimes I hate eating. I keep eating to much and getting sick. It's like not worth eating. 1 Butlersh reacted to this
Dobeigh 69 Posted December 22, 2012 Are you measuring your food? Just take 1 bite at a time. 1 bite, then relax. Let it digest. Be patient with your body. How long ago was your surgery?
KarissaKhaos 170 Posted December 22, 2012 I do at times too, but I think most of the problem is I don't get a full sensation.

ladiJ 83 Posted December 22, 2012 I understand I am 17 days out and having trouble knowing when I am full. Seems I go from empty to overfull in less than a bite. It has caused a few episodes of pain or tossing my Cookies. (note there were no actual cookies). I have to learn to eat slower. Also twice I forget and used a straw and drank fluids, all of which led to the above.
katsmeow 70 Posted December 23, 2012 I had my surgery November 14th. So what should be the measurements?
KRB829 47 Posted December 23, 2012 At this stage you should be 5 to 6 weeks out and on a pureed diet/soft foods. You should be measuring your food and be consuming 3 - 4 ounce increments in each sitting. I had surgery 4 months ago and I can only eat 2 ounces in each sitting, but I eat 4 - 5 times a day and smaller portions. I was sick and regurgitating all the time, because I was getting to full at 3 - 4 ounces of food. And what also helps me is that I eat with a baby spoon and fork so I know I'm not consuming to much at a time. It's just a lifestyle change you will get use to it, and just try to eat slow and maybe start at 2 ounces, your body will let you know when you can consume more or need to back off. It gets better:) 1 Dobeigh reacted to this
Butlersh 213 Posted December 23, 2012 I have said this many times this week. It seems my capacity is different each time and it just takes that one bite to ruin it..I'm happier without food than with at this point.
