I haven't been sleeved yet, but I was wondering am I the only one that doesn't have a goal weight? I don't necessarily want to be skinny I just want to be healthy. I've been overweight my whole life so any weight I lose I will be grateful for. I think when I get physically, mentally, and emotionally comfortable in my own skin I think I will be happy. For the people that do set goal weights, does it make the weight loss more like a challenge? Was there a reason you choose that goal weight? Just curious. TIA

I'm still pre-op, but I set my weight goal for a healthy BMI because, to me, it doesn't make sense to do this and still be overweight or obese. I have seen so many people on here accomplish such great weight loss and I am definitely dedicated to doing the necessary work to get there, so I don't think that having a goal weight will make losing any more difficult, just more rewarding.

I agree with icon23. I've set my own goal at this point. I too am pre-op, and though I met with my surgeon on the initial consult, I failed to discuss a goal with him. Now that I'm submitted for insurance approval, I plan to discuss this with him when we meet again.

I am not set on a specific weight either. I chose a normal weight for someone my height, but the number means little. I am looking to be the healthiest me I can be whatever weight that may be.

I didn't set a goal either. But this makes so much sense!! I'm pre-sleeve and feel like I have an insurmountable amount of weight to lose. But I know that I must have faith that this can be done!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
