I was sleeved 2 1/2 weeks ago..lost 10lbs on pre op diet..then 12 lbs since Dec. 3rd surgery. 22lbs altogether..haven't lost anymore..its been a week of no loss..eating 1ounce of tuna and a piece of cheese for lunch. A 1/2 a hard boiled egg and a quarter of banana for breakfast...for dinner 1/4 cup of fat free refried Beans and another 1/2 of egg or another piece of cheese. 1 cup of fat free milk and a scoop of Protein powder..lots of Water all day...that is it..Why am I not seeing more of a steady loss?

I have experienced the same thing. My understanding is that this is a common time to stall. I am still only consuming full liquids (3 weeks post op) - can't wait to be able to eat tuna, cheese, Beans and egg!! I get to start on the 28th. I have also been told that not getting enough Protein will cause this too. Let me know if it breaks for you! I'm hoping mine will soon.

Wow, I can't believe your eating all that food so soon. I was on liquids for the first 3 weeks and then pureed for 3 weeks, then soft foods for the next 3 weeks. Your stomach is swollen and needs some R&R to get over the trauma. Be careful you don't get a leak in your sleeve......Otherwise, your weight loss is really good....:)

Measure yourself. I still feel like I haven't lost weight but my pants are sagging and my tops are loose.

Getting more Protein, helped my stalls. Your body tries to go into 'starvation mode' otherwise. It's hard 2 get enough protein from foods, till your tummy can handle more volume. Try adding another Protein shake. Someone mentioned that you may be losing inches while not losing weight, that also happens. Just be patient, and follow what your doc/nut tell you. A few months from now, you will be amazed at your progress.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
