Sadlers1999 169 Posted December 23, 2012 I'm also 12/12/12. I have a different post op diet (32oz milk and 32oz liquid) so the milk is all the Protein I gave to get in right now. Just have a steady approach. I have a schedule that tells me when I should have what. After all.. We aren't feeling hungry! I was told 64 oz combined Protein and liquid...although all protein is liquids at this point. So similar to what you were told.
Sadlers1999 169 Posted December 23, 2012 I haven't found it yet' date=' but I was told that Vitamine Shoppe carries it. I didn't find it at GNC.[/quote'] It WAS at GNC in Colorado where I live...Don't know if that is a regional difference.
Ruthie1 1 Posted December 23, 2012 It WAS at GNC in Colorado where I live...Don't know if that is a regional difference. Probably is a regional difference, but I will find it. Actually will look for it next week, Christmas day will be the LAST day of ALL liquids, so Merry Christmas to me! LOL...looking forward to a little pureed turkey or chicken, something different. Ruthie1 1 Posted December 23, 2012 Hello everyone, I've completed my procedure on a week ago today. Actually came home on the following evening 12/13/12. Praises to God that all is well do far. Just had my staples removed today (1st post-op appt). My biggest struggle is getting in 60 grams of of Protein and 60 ozs of fluids....any suggestions? Trying not to end up back in the hospital from dehydration. Any words of encouragement. Otherwise, I feel fine. Get tired pretty easily, but was told by my PA that it is because I need more intake. I KNOW that, but it is sooo hard and also concerned about my sleeve staples. Thanks R.
Ruthie1 1 Posted December 23, 2012 Can anyone help me with advice about this pain in my chest, like a tightness that comes and goes? I feel like something or someone is standing in the middle of my chest. I was told it was attributed to heartburn, but sometimes the pain is unbearable, lifts me off the bed it hurts so bad! I have been chewing gas ex but I may have to take some pain medication tonight. I haven't had to take too much of the Hydrocodone Elixir (and don't want to because it makes me itchy) but may need to tonight. Does anyone else relate to this type of feeling in their chest? Strangefruit 179 Posted December 24, 2012 After weeks and weeks of sweet Protein Shakes, Isopure zero carb Alpine punch is the only Protein I can stomach... It looks and tastes a bit like gatorade to me - of which I am not a fan, but its tolerable over ice with a lime wedge.
