Jakat 25 Posted December 19, 2012 usually only 7-10 days. Then they usually move to puree for 3 weeks. Very important to keep your Protein and fluids up. I know it will be difficult, but very important. Good Luck

Oliver's Mom 258 Posted December 19, 2012 I think every medical team is a little different. I was on liquid for 1 week post-op, then moved to 'level 2' diet that my med team had prescribed - which includes mostly liquid but the addition of SF, FF yogurt, cottage cheese (mushed up), ricotta thinned with liquid and a scrambled egg. I stay on that diet for 2 weeks. I'm in the middle of my second week with that and it's not bad. Good luck.
Kapoorvilla 117 Posted December 19, 2012 I had 3 weeks preop, should have been 2 but my surgery got delayed. The I just finished 2 weeks liquid post op. Now I have 2 week purée and 2 week soft. The Jan 22nd I am on to regular food. It is most certainly a journey but I can't believe how fast five weeks past to be honest! Just stay busy it will pass!
