Last Week Sleever?

Recommended Posts

Hey! I was also sleeved 12/11 and I'm down 27 pds from the start of preop diet :) I also had a hiatal hernia repair but the past few days have gotten a lot better for me.. Last week I was depressed and soo hungry but today at my checkup my Dr moved me to the puréed diet and it's been great to have yogurt and oatmeal.. I see the light at the end of the tunnel now and I'm just hoping I keep losing.. I've read people on here that stall out so I'm trying to drink my 64 oz of Water and my Protein too!

It's been 8 days since my surgery and I gave in today - I made some cream of mushroom Soup and had about 7 spoon fulls - I just couldn't do another sip of that Protein shake. To my surprise it went down very easy - easier than Water - and feel like I can take on more Protein :-)!

Ms Cali.. don't feel bad... I had one of those days today... I actually went out Christmas shopping and stopped at Panera and had a little creamy Tomato soup... it was so yummy... my husband loved that I had to share it with him... We both loved it and we are not Tomato Soup fans.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
