I know its been a couple of years since this post, but Im new and just ran across it. Dr.Dominguez in Covington is the only Dr so far thats accepting it now. Was hoping to find more Drs. Fonteli37 4 Posted August 14, 2015 I'm looking for someone who accept medicaid. The only Dr in Louisiana that accepts medicaid for gastric sleeve is Dr. Dominguez in Covington Louisiana. They sent me a package and in the package it says that they do 6mos nutrition and weightloss assessment with medicaid patients bc its a requirement for medicaid to pay. So yes, you will have to have that before surgery. You can do that in your area they said. You dont have to travel to them. Call and ask for Cheryl and she will send you a packet. I hate to break the bad news, but I'm thinking in order to pay for it, you'd have to do 6 mos under Dr.Dominguez's patient. But hey, it'll come in no time.
