Hows your weight loss coming along?

Get all that Protein in, it will really help. Sometimes eating a piece of sugar free candy will help get me over the need to eat.

Keep in mind your body is adjusting to everything so don't let a few days get you down. Pick yourself up, dust off and keep on keeping on, you will get there.

2 lbs average a week for 52 weeks equals 104 lbs. Give yourself time......

My surgery was 12/19. I started at 285 and am down to 221. That is 64lbs. I am a stair step loser. I will go a week with nothing then I will lose 5 or more lbs and then I will stop and then start again.

Make sure you are logging your food, drinking your Water and eating your Protein. Get on myfitnesspal, it is free and there are many people on their that have had this surgery. A lot of the successful losers are eating 600-800 calories per day, less than 40 g of carbs, and getting in 80 -100 grams of Protein.< /p>

Also if you haven't, take your measurements. The scale does not always tell the whole picture. You can lose inches and not see anything on the scale.

Everyone is going to lose at a different pace so don't compare. Also I am not going to suggest that you don't weigh yourself because I do every morning but don't keep weighing all day. Your weight is going to fluctuate, weigh at the same time and with the same weight of close or (no clothes).

I am almost six months out and I am really beginning to feel much better! More normal! I have been very restrictive on myself Nd I am starting to get a little more adventurous with my food! I am addicted to beef jerkey! It's my weapon to get my Protein in but not the fat and carbs! Those were the three things my doctor told me to watch! I do track with my fitness pal and I have had heat results! My starting weight was 296 and today I am down to 203.5! I am hoping by the actual six month mark that I can be at least at 200! My goal was 100 pounds in six months bug I have come very close with only a week to go!

Everyone has done so well. Congratulations to you.

I was sleeved Dec. 4, 2012 at 285 lbs. Today, 6 months post, I am only at 257 lbs. Granted, I can't exercise due to an injury, but I thought that the weight would sneak away a little quicker than it has. I have a check up in one month and I know I am not going to want to hear what is said. I have not put any weight on. Hopefully, when I am on holidays in 2 weeks, I will be able to get to the pool more than I have. I wonder if Tylenol - 4000mg/day - has a negative effect on weight loss?

Still I will continue to stay on the path, I need to and even more, I want to.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
