I am so Hungary I feel like a ravaging beast. Lots of people say that they don't even feel Hungary, but I am the opposite. Today was the first day i was able to drink a full 12oz of Gatorade and like 1/2 cup of Unjury chicken broth. I'm nauseous all the time but most likely my fault as i want to try real food like eggs, pinto Beans etc. my doc has me on liquids for 20 days. Sad and mourning food and feeling well. Thanks for listening.

I feel bad that you are having a hard time. I too went through a mourning phase especially when my family was able to go out to eat and I just sat at home. It will get better. What motivated me was stepping on that scale and seeing the progress. I hope for better days for you very soon.

Thank you for your concern I appreciate it. Just got to take one day at a time and you are right it feels good to step on that scale and see the number drop.

I am so sorry you are going through that!!! I wasn't hungry at all in the beginning and still forget to eat all the time. If I wasn't a mom having to make meals, I think I could go days without eating :( I love food...miss my favourites...like sushi!!! mmmmm...Im about 3.5 weeks out so it will get better for us I hear. Try taking some antacid..I have heard that the "hunger" can sometimes be acid reflux messing with your insides...

Worth a shot. hang in there!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
