I wonder if you ladies would go along with an experiment with me?

#1. Are you prejudiced?

#2. Do you discriminate?

I am sure I am prejudiced. I think everyone is, to a certain extent. It just depends on how and where you were raised. For example, I was raised in a small town in rural Tennessee. There were only two or three students (no teachers) of other races at my elementary school (over 700 students). At my high school, I could count the number of students of other races on one hand (2,000 students). I think the important thing is to be aware of your prejudices and try to work through them, which I have. When I got to college, I was very consious of being around people that I had never been around. But I have tried to overcome it.

On the other hand, I don't think I discriminate. By being aware of my prejudices, I have been able to work through them. What may have bothered me to a certain extent 5 years ago (for the simple fact that I hadn't been exposed to it before) doesn't bother me any more.

Wait, I'm still stuck on not speaking in church or teaching, and "If I do any of these things and have, I repent of my sins." You must be from a very strict sect. Stricter than Mary practiced. Wow.

I've always thought it would be a relief to have more answers than questions in life. I've not experienced that.

Yes and Yes.

I believe we all do. It may not be based on race or gender, but I think we all some group of people we are prejudiced against, and that we discrimate against.

Who gave you these rights?

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal..."

Ah, yes, but the precise nature of "their Creator" is not specified. Anything in existence was created, that's also self-evident.

The nature of the creator is not germane to the rights we, as people, have.

#1. Are you prejudiced?

#2. Do you discriminate?

#1. Probably, but if I am, it is because I am ignorant.

#2. I would certainly hope not.

Yes, to both of the above questions though I wish I could answer otherwise.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
