hollywoodjay 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I was banded on June 28th, 2006, and including the 28 pounds I lost pre-surgery in June, I am down 116 lbs so far. I have had an extremely easy time of it so far by sticking to the bandster rules every day. I started at 325 lbs and today weigh 209 lbs and am looking forward to breaking the 200 lb mark in the next few weeks. I have set Thanksgiving as my goal to do this. (BTW I have had 4 fills and am at 7ccs in the large band). I own a Mail & Parcel center and pursue my passion of (on-camera) acting on the side. (Who knows, maybe someday I can give up my day job! :gluck: ). I look forward to reading other peoples experiences on here. Jay Z
Fran 1 Posted October 25, 2006 You sound as though you are doing a wonderful job. It is unreal how much weight you have lost. I was banded on August 30th. 2006 and have lost 41 pounds to date. Would you mind posting what a typical food day is like for you. Thank you and continued good luck
hollywoodjay 0 Posted October 26, 2006 In response to several e-mails the following is what I would eat in a typical day. I have been staying under 1,000 cals a day. Before Breakfast: 1 cup of coffee black w/sweet-n-low Breakfast: 1/3 cup of All Bran Buds 1/2 cup of n/f milk Between Breakfast and lunch: 1 cup of coffee, black w/sweet-n-low 1 or 2 Crystal Lite As much Water as I can tolerate Lunch: 3 to 5 oz. of Protein 1/2 apple peeled Between lunch and dinner: If a little bit hungry..1 to 2 oz. of beef Jerky 1 to 2 Crystal Lite More Water Dinner: 4 to 6 oz. of Protein 1/2 to 1 cup of veggies maybe some n/f cottage cheese That's pretty much it. I vary the Proteins and veggies and I find that I need to have some robust flavors in my selections. (I use horseradish, tobasco or jalpeno's much of the time with dinner). EKDouglas 0 Posted October 28, 2006 WOW! What awesome inspiration!! I have seriously been debating between lapband or gastric bypass due to my BMI of 55, and I am finding that a number of people on this site have had banding at 300 plus pounds - awesome encouragement!!
