PoohSoup0803 45 Posted December 16, 2012 I was sleeved Monday 12/10 & went home the next day. I have been in so much pain it has brought tears to my eyes several times today. It's not gas pain, I believe I have finally walked all of that out. I'm not constipated, I finally went after 6 days. I feel like something is stuck in my lower chest or stomach. I am having a hard time even swallowing down my pudding & creamed Soups because it feels like they get stuck. It hurts sooo bad. I have only been able to take a few sips of Water & even that hurt. On top of that "stuck" pain, my main incision site is very painful & it hurts to really move around. I just want to know if either of these things are normal? How long does it take before the incision pain & pain inside goes away? Help! :'(
lucky8mb1 167 Posted December 16, 2012 I was sleeved on the 10th also. I don't have the lower chest/stomach pain you're mentioned, but I'm also only allowed clear fluids, 1oz every 10 minutes. As days have passed, I've stopped measuring but still only take no more than one sip of juice or broth every 5-10 minutes. Maybe you could stop the full fluids and go back to clear only to see if it helps? As for incision pain, I still have pain in certain positions or when making certain motions - but for the most part I'm ok getting around. Every day gets better for me. Are you overdoing it at all? PoohSoup0803 45 Posted December 16, 2012 I'm thinking maybe I should go back to Clear Liquids. I just got off them yesterday & that's kind of when I started feeling worse. I don't think I over do it, I try to rest as much as possible. I'm in so much pain that I have to use a cane to get up from seated positions & sometimes I even need the support when I'm walking around.
Katie713 423 Posted December 16, 2012 That kind of pain isn't normal. You may need to contact your surgeon or your doctor to make sure you are ok. Better to be safe than sorry. 2 slimagainsoon and gmanbat reacted to this
kitkat 76 Posted December 16, 2012 My suggestion is that you go see you doctor! Mine has told me over and over that any pain that is consistant or over a three is not ok to just deal with. Better safe than sorry right? 1 gmanbat reacted to this
