Egan317 7 Posted December 16, 2012 I'm 9 days post op band to sleeve revision. I have been on liquids such as Atkins shake, Jello, ice pops and yogurt and broth.. Tonight I attended a friends party and I ate very little guacamole and some fresh mozzarella cheese.i had no discomfort and chewed it well.. ? My doctor has me on liquids for first three weeks before moving onto purée or scramble egg, mash potato. Was this a mistake?
~*~ Melissa ~*~ 31 Posted December 16, 2012 If you feel fine then I say you're good to go. HOWEVER, get back to liquids allowing your stomach to fully heal 2 PEvette and Darkkyss reacted to this
ozeedonkee 145 Posted December 16, 2012 I was on purée day 4, so I doubt you've done any damage with a bit of guacamole. Just try to get back on your surgeons instructions 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted December 16, 2012 I think that surgeons keep revisions on longer as precaution. I am sure it is fine, but try to follow his advice from here on out - I figure we hire them because they are the experts!
PEvette 297 Posted December 16, 2012 It probably didnt hurt anything...but follow your doctor's plan....just because something didnt happen the first time doesnt mean you cant end up in emergency if you try solid food too early again.... DOnt rush the process.....take it one day at a time, the weeks will fly by
