I would talk to your doctor or a nurse about this with you being so early out. I was 6 weeks out when I had a cold and needed cold meds and I had no problem taking them then, but I am not sure what they suggest for only three weeks. I hope you find your answer!

I don't see why not. I was taking a LOT stronger drugs than that in the first 3 days after surgery. A lot more, too.

I had to take it during week 3 too for a nasty cold. No issues at all and helped tremendously.

Intoxicant: I didn't end up taking it. I'm ending week 3 and I haven't weighed myself since the first week. Friends and family are saying they already see a difference, but I don't. I don't own a scale and i am tempted to go out and buy one but I don't want to weigh myself daily.

How are you doing?

You haven't started purée yet? Weighed myself today... 267.5. So 20.5 lbs down since surgery.

It's a trial and error type of thing. I ate the riccotta bake... Which is a recipe that has been talked about a lot on this site.... It was good but came right back up. Think it was much to heavy still. I can eat egg salad. Thick Soup. Mashed potatoes. I still have a hard time with drinking. I'm so used to drinking all day at my speed that is hard to slow down.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
