Thanks bunches....

No problem! If you ever need any research done I can handle it :D I was not satisfied with there being "no" liquid tylenol for adults. I finally found it at CVS and it's even yummy.

No' date=' but you see CVS carries their own brand of adult extra strength liquid tylenol. I can find ANYTHING :D[/quote']

Lol I'm the same way! My 12 year daughter will not take pills to save her life and the kid strength medicine was just not cutting it so I searched and searched for some adult Tylenol! The only place I've found it was cvs. You would think more places would carry it!

I wasn't very prepared as I had about 24 notice to get ready. I had g2, presciriptions, 1ounce cups, and heating back. Most stuff I already had on hand. I ended up needing a pill cutter. Things will work out smoothly if even your not super prepared. I like to be prepared and planned out, but didn't have much time and things went surprisingly smooth!!!

Best of luck on preparation!! You'll so great !! :)

Sannah, how long ago did you have your surgery? How was it when you first got home? I know you didn't have much time to prepare... But if you did have time, what would you have done?? ow much weight have you lost? Also how is the pain? Yes....I know everyone is different but I want to hear from everyone lol!

Becky, (btw, my name is Rebecca lol) I only see the generic tyneloyn on Amazon.com, that should be ok I think...

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
