So, really inappropriate weird question...

Recommended Posts

My boyfriend and I are very sexually active and well oral sex is a part of life so I'm going to be brave and ask this question.

This is a 2-part question. The first is, how would my stomach react to swallowing? Would I be full, would I get sick? The second part is since it's acidic, how long do you have to wait to do that?

Sorry for the inappropriate question but I kinda need to know what to expect.

No problem, the amount is so small I doubt it would have any effect, to play it safe wait a few weeks before resuming relations then have at it.

Haha, I know my boyfriend brought it up and we were joking at first but then I figured I'd better ask just to make sure that I don't hurt myself or throw up on him.

well ya know, all this talk about barely being able to take a sip of Water immediately post surgery made me start wondering ;) but it sounds like once the tummy swelling goes down a little bit, it's all good. So maybe no need to refrain completely, but refrain from....ahem...swallowing....for a period of time

Oh no, I hope it doesn't get that way for me. I really have no problem with it and enjoy making my boyfriend happy so I think we'll both be sad if it grosses me out after surgery.

Well, some tastes actually change and now I can't stomach some stuff I see on TV and I gag constantly at different things. I would just say be careful because gagging/throwing up is not fun even one month post op and it hurts like hell sometimes. Baby steps is my advice!!!

When your 50 pounds lighter and can stand on your head he will get over it if you can "swallow"

Haha :-D

Lol, my boyfriend is spoiled. I already have a pretty darn high flexibility level and my rule is I'm willing to try (most) anything once. I cheered and did gymnastics my entire life well until I was too heavy to do it, I fold all the way in half and can comfortably sit in the middle splits and can easily tuck my feet behind my head. I'm not as flexible nor as balanced as I used to be but I'm not bad for being heavy. That's one thing I've been working with my personal trainer to get back.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
