So, I have had a lot of problems in the past with dehydration and recently was admitted to the hospital with low potassium. They had me on a heart monitor and had a potassium drip going. Last time I got it checked it was low again and they gave me pills to take that day instead of an iv. Is this something I should be worried about post-op? I didn't mention it to my doctor, just didn't think to say anything. I bought G2 to mix with my Water post-op and bought all my Vitamins so I should be okay right?

Multi Vitamins do not have adequate potassium they are only fortified with 3% of the RDA. If you have a history of potassium issues then you should definitely mention it.

Yeah, I guess I can tell him in my post-op appointment and see if he wants me to take a potassium supplement. We never met after I was approved so we never talked about my past medical history like my 2 HUGE abdominal surgeries where I was cut from hip bone to hip bone when I was younger. I wrote it down on the past medical history sheet we just never discussed it. I'm sure he has read through all of that though and there is nothing to worry about.

When is your surgery scheduled? Honestly, I think you should contact your surgeon. Someone just had surgery and she had complications because of previous surgery & scar tissue.

My surgery is next Wednesday. I don't want to cry wolf, I assume he's read over my paperwork.
