Traci J. 207 Posted December 14, 2012 Search is, it's very common with surgery. From what I hear it starts around the 3 or 4th month and lasts a couple months; can be a little, can be a lot. I heard Biotin helps, don't wash everyday, don't use a brush....
doxieville 799 Posted December 14, 2012 ....all the above and massage your scalp to stimulate new growth. It's inevitable. If it's gonna happen it's gonna happen. :-( I had long thick hair and was losing it in handfuls in my 3 & 4th month. I chopped it all off and it stopped falling out. Probably coincidence, but it looks great!
Beckyyb93 225 Posted December 14, 2012 I'm EXTREMELY paranoid about losing my hair...I have long gorgeous spiral curls and it would be devastating to me. I went to my long term hair stylist and we had a chat about it. She has me on the Bosley system for women and I'm going in to see her every month so she can check on it. If the preventative measures don't take care of it then hopefully we can catch it earlier and step up the treatment. I'm also taking Biotin. I'm not accepting the answer that it's just going to happen and I'm going to fight to keep my pretty hair. Sorry, rant but I'm scared :0 1 Tesla1979 reacted to this
Beckyyb93 225 Posted December 14, 2012 I've just located you. You have two Nordstrom Rack stores and there is a Neiman Marcus Last Call in San Marcos...don't know how close to you that is. Go to one of those places and have fun!

Go to one of those places and have fun! Awesome! San Marcos is 20 minutes away. I'll go there after the holidays. Thanks!! Re your hair- it may thin out but it thins out all over the head. The only place that it showed in my head was the part. As you could see in my other post, my hair doesn't look thin. So you should be ok. I think people who start with thin hair have a harder time. Just remember to stay hydrated & keep your Protein intake around 80. :-)

I'll be sure to be super careful with hydration because I've landed myself into the hospital a few times due to that before and don't want to do it again. I also have issues with my Potassium, I may make a separate thread about that and see if anyone has suggestions. Good luck clothes shopping! If you don't find what you are looking for there send me a message and I'll give you some more ideas

I have been "fat" for years but always spent a lot of time (and money) making sure my hair looked good. I am 3 months post-op and haven't lost any hair yet, but I know it can start tomorrow. Eat That Frog 53 Posted December 14, 2012 Has anyone had this problem? If you do a search on hair loss you will see that it is a big problem for a lot of people, and everyone has different theories on what to do to about it. Good luck!
Earwood 136 Posted December 14, 2012 Mine started falling out in clumps during the shower in the last couple of weeks...it's not noticeable yet but I'm a bit freaked out.
doxieville 799 Posted December 14, 2012 Mine started falling out in clumps during the shower in the last couple of weeks...it's not noticeable yet but I'm a bit freaked out. It's a very odd feeling, isn't it? I lost a LOT!! But i had thick hair and I lost it all over so it wasn't really noticeable. But, I felt that it looked unhealthy & straggly so I chopped it all off and now it looks great.
