RoxyN 0 Posted December 13, 2012 Hi my name is Roxanne and I live in Los Angeles CA. This is my first time posting. Just wondering if anyone is from the area and being treated by L.A. Bariatrics? I've already completed my visit with the Nut and Psych eval. They seem very helpful at the office but just wondering if anyone else has had an experience with them. Thanks
Ruffus 66 Posted December 13, 2012 I have Dr. Korman! Loved him!!! The office staff is amazing. Checked into other places in the LA area and Irvine... chose them simply because they didn't pressure me into using their facility. They are genuine people with the desire to want to help. I was sleeved on Oct.

Ruffus 66 Posted December 15, 2012 I have really enjoyed being apart of the team with Dr. Korman's office. I struggle everyday with eating and getting my Water in. I eat half an egg when I wake up in the morning with my Vitamins. And I drink Protein Shakes and Unjury through out the day... I have dinner with the family and even then I am force feeding myself. Some days I am in the mood for a cheese stick. However that is not very often. I am going to be 8 weeks out (so im no expert here) on Monday and I still have a few small pains in my large incision. I also had hernia repair and the healing from that has been a b***h!!! The swelling in my throat finally feels like it is going down. Still struggle some days.... I am starting to have more good days then bad ones. sleeping has been a challenge I have to sleep on my right side. If I sleep on my left I get crazy stomach hunger, as soon as I roll over the feeling goes away in a matter of min! OH my biggest complaint is I am always freakin cold! I mean 90 year old grandma cold!! Have you heard about insurance yet? As soon as I was approved I had my surgery 2 weeks later. Keep me posted!
RoxyN 0 Posted December 15, 2012 Wow Ruffus. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I hope you continue to adjust well. I'm sure its only a matter of time before you're feeling 100%! Hang in there. The best is yet to come. I hope my approval moves as quickly as yours. I'll keep you posted. But you take care and feel better. One day at a time.....keep your eye on the big prize : )
