motochic 45 Posted December 12, 2012 you look wonderful, i know jsut how u feel, but the fat suit has come off and ppl can see what a wonderful person you really are. loosing the fat dosnt change who we are it just makes us more noticable. great job, keep it up, rember its a life style not a diet. my sergon told me at my 9mo visit that his first VSG was 7 years ago, and he has come back wiht all the wt regained and now getting the 2nd half of the surgery. so that was a wake up for me to keep eating my protien meals. i didnt have as much to loose as you, but i went from bmi 36 pants 16/18 to bmi 23 pants size 2. shopping has never been more fun 1 BabyHuey reacted to this

Our sleeve is just a tool and if we choose to go back to our old eating habits, we will gain our weight back. So I am really going to work hard at not slipping back into old patterns.... CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted December 12, 2012 Look at the stats - regain is possible with ANY weight loss approach, including surgery. All I can say is that I don't consider it a diet, I consider it permanent changes and I will just do my best and if I slip...I now have resources, including non surgical, to get me back on track. Even when I weighed over 300# I never gave up so I see no reason I should give up in the future either. I view obesity as a disease that losing weight puts it into remission... just like other chronic illnesses, it is prone to sneaking back and we must be aware of that and willing to take corrective action - of various types. I am not exactly sure why this wet blanket is thrown on my anniversary celebration... but okay... 1 JerseyGirl68 reacted to this

CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted December 13, 2012 I am not upset with you - it just seemed like a tangent to take this on. i do agree with the point though - I am a firm believer that weight loss is easy compared to maintenance.... we all need to keep that in mind! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
