SeriouslyChange 319 Posted December 10, 2012 So I just got torn a new one by my family. Summary: I'm a failure in life. Any who, it is lunch time for me and because I am sad/ just cried, I find myself unable to eat my full serving of lunch as it seems to be almost stuck in my throat. Any amount that I do eat just comes back up. My question: does being emotional make the sleeve tight? I use to be able to eat my emotions away and now I can't even manage a 1/4 cup of cottage cheese.< /p> Anyone have anything similar happen?
TXgirlJulia 6 Posted December 10, 2012 When I got into an argument with my significant other during lunch, I found myself unable to eat at all. lost my appetite completely, and couldn't even bring myself to put my spoon in my mouth. Pre-surgery, I would have happily comforted myself with my food.< /p>

I actually could barely drink liquids on thanksgiving because of tension. I haven't found a solution as of yet... I was always the first one to reach for food for comfort. LadyK 164 Posted December 10, 2012 Same here, I thought it was just me, I would, before the sleeve comfort myself with food, but when I'm upset or cry, I don't have any desire to eat. It feels like it will come back up if I eat while I'm upset. Keep your chin up, it will get better
