Well, I met with a surgeon yesterday and I really liked her. I am a bit unusual - I am only 7 months post VSG but am already headed for plastics. Due to my life circumstances this is the chance that I have to do this (financially, also ability to take recovery time). When I met with the surgeon she felt the timing was just fine - I know that most people here believe in waiting. I am not looking for input on the timing as my only two options are to not have the procedures at any point or to have them in the near future.

Back to the more exciting aspects! I am starting on New Year's Eve with a brow lift and lower eyelid lift. I am thrilled to ring in the New Year with a whole new me.

On Feb. 6 I'm going for my Tummy Tuck and thigh lift. The tummy tuck incision will extend all the way to the hips, almost to the sides. The thigh lift incisions will be along where your underwear would normally hit in your inner thigh - I won't have an incision down the midline of my leg. Due to the sutures the recovery sounds very tough - no sitting for the first 2 weeks except if you have to get in a car or when you have a BM. To pee you even must stay standing - now that will be tricky!!

Finally will be the breast lift and augmentation. I am getting the gummies. I currently wear a 34 DDD - turns out that I'd be left with a "full B". Is there a full B? In any case, I'm going to get a full D.

I'm 5'6" and 153, down from 255. I may lose a bit more before surgery. My plastic surgeon felt that I don't need to lose more to improve the outcome. The hardest part will likely be that I currently exercise 1 or often 2 hours per day, and really enjoy it.

My plastic surgery journey is just beginning!

Good luck, it all sounds exciting! Maybe not the pain and no sitting LOL!! But that will be a distant memory, soon.

Just curious, what are gummies?

In the plastic surgery forum there is another posting "embarrassing, implant - what size", I think is the title. On the third page OTR sleever goes into a description of the different types of implants. I don't know how to quote from a different topic - but that will give you the info!

Here goes! Tomorrow morning I go in for 9 hours of surgery. I decided to add an extra procedure. I'm basically having a face lift - a brow lift, a neck lift, and a lower eyelid lift. Pretty big way to ring in the New Year. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
