What influenced you the most on the surgeon you chose?

Experience. It doesn't have to be the doctor who's done the MOST sleeves but I wanted someone who has done at LEAST a few thousand bariatric surgeries.

how many surgeries they perform per day.. No more than six.

I chose a team so I've got TWO doctors working together on EVERY procedure

modern hospital

hospital stay time/time in mexico total. I didn't want a place that kicks you out the next day!

coordinator/booking agency has to be fabulous

Nope although I seriously considered them. I'm seeing Cabrera/Valenzuela They also practice out of MiDoctor in Tijuana. They met all my other criteria, but the price was a bit lower for Cabrera/Valenzuela.

I'm scheduled with Lopez on March 11th! I'm so excited and anxious!! It's getting closer and closer! I can't wait to be skinny!!

What influenced me the most was speaking to actual patients of the surgeons. The fact that my surgeon (dr Ponce de Leon) has actually trained several of the others. The fact that he is confident enough in his work to give the patient a DVD of the actual surgery. And speaking to his coordinator trish, and hearing all the rave reviews of her. I went alone. So having someone there for me, to support me, and help me thru the process was just what I needed to make him the right surgeon for me. She was there for me every step of the way.

I've heard lots of good things about him! That is pretty cool that he gives you a DVD of the surgery! When I was researching surgeons there wasn't many on here at that time that went to Dr. Ponce. But over the months I've been reading more and more positive experiences!

Really?! I didn't know that! I know Janese was gonna start taping some surgeries, I guess what that was for. I kinda want my surgery DVD lol
