All of the amazing the pics here inspired me to have my surgery so I figured I would also include mine... I haven't looked at myself in a side by side pic yet and I must say even I was shocked (in a good way!)

Stats:

Pre surgery weight: 240 (the morning of)

Size: 18/20

Height: 5'-2

Current weight: 188

Current size: 13/14

Total lost since surgery: 52 lbs

(no pre-surgery diet, I was 240 lbs the day I went back for surgery)

You look great!! Ok what are you eating? Are you working out? I need inspiration.

I'm not stepping on the scale until I go to my doc but I have loved buying jeans 2 sizes smaller!

Sleeved nov 7th. As of 2 weeks ago loss of 30 lbs = 247

Thanks guys! The most amazing thing I've come across so far is having to reorder my wedding dress! From a size 22 to a size 10 (that's guess work since I have no idea what size ill be in Feb) they even had to refund me 50$ because I'm not a big girl size anymore!! ;)

As far as food I'm not nearly as good as some at counting calories etc, on a normal day I eat:

Breakfast: oatmeal (not sugar free just regular old oatmeal)

Lunch: mostly meat - so maybe tuna with egg in it on wheat thins

Dinner: Lemon baked fish, broccoli or some other veggie

I try to get all of my Protein through food because I HATE Protein shakes/bars.

I don't work out as much as I should with school and work... But when I do i just get on the treadmill and do a little on my arms or legs while I'm there.

Ps. Losing 30 lbs since November and not having weighed in 2 weeks is amazing! Great job!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
