Isopure Plus Zero Carb Protein Drink

Recommended Posts

Ok so let you down with hopes of tasty Protein Drink when it has too many calories & sugars (it'll be my when I need something good but don't wanna cheat drink)

Well tried Isopure PLUS Zero Carb Protein Drink Zero Sugar ALPINE PUNCH Actually doesn't taste bad, use lots of ice, just has a sharp after taste, almost bitter. Makes my tongue feel dried up lol. But I really like them!

Best thing only 8fl oz, 60 cal, 0 sugar, 0 carb, 15g protein.

My doctor requires that I have one of the bigger glass bottles of Isopure every day for the first week after surgery. I've heard mixed reviews about their taste. Glad to hear someone else likes them!

Your posting of this could not be timelier (is that a word?) anyway, on my to-do list today was to go and buy some of the Isopure zero carb to try... I am six weeks out and having a hard time getting my Protein in and I am ABSOLUTELY SICK of my Protein shakes...they are so sweet and after 5 weeks straight (2 weeks pre op and 3 weeks post op) just the smell of them makes me gag.

I am going to try a couple of flavors and see if I can tolerate them. Thanks!

Yes not sweet! Was so excited, I had lapband years ago so have been doing these stupid drinks off and on. And now I'm on my preop diet (surgery Monday) and have been trying to get down my sickeningly sweet drinks. Was so happy, it was hot when got home from store but I was starving so figured I'd throw it in a glass of ice and was pleasantly surprised because the one with sugar was 190 calories, I'm trilled I can save 130 calories. Got in trouble about my weight at preopt appointment so have to lose as much as possible by Monday or he's calling off surgery.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
