deedeemuffin 346 Posted December 5, 2012 I am only 7 days post-op. Pre-surgery I often skipped periods. I had my period just a week before surgery. I dropped 23 lbs. my first week & got my period today. Have you found since surgery that your period cycles are different? Do you also find that you are a little more "hormonal" than you were before surgery. Thanks in advance.
Kate27 34 Posted December 5, 2012 I'm not sure why but I had this happen to me too. I have PCOS which causes my periods to be abnormal. Wouldn't you know I hadn't had my period since August and Yesterday I started. Which was 4 days post op. I know when I had lost weight in the past it made me more regular. Butterflysecrets 20 Posted December 5, 2012 With PCOS, weight loss helps to regulate your hormones. 10% weight loss can make this happen. This makes it easier to become pregnant because we are finally ovulating.
Squisha 99 Posted December 5, 2012 My periods are finally regular since surgery. But I had just stopped right before surgery and then started again 2 or 3 days after surgery. The doctor said it was probably form the blood thinners.
