skinnyjenn 20 Posted December 4, 2012 Just wondering what brand of Multivitamins did everyone use for after their surgery? I checked a lot of the ones they have at Walmart but can't seem to find one that meets the minimum requirement of 200%.
scarybird 1 Posted December 4, 2012 I haven't looked into this yet - but could you take two of the Vitamins with 100%?

920amy 409 Posted December 4, 2012 It might make sense in your mind to take 2 100% Vitamins, but if you do, don't take them together, certain vitamins in some forms are not bio available easily, I have heard shaklee is great, I ended up purchasing a liquid Vitamin from Nashua Nutirition, I take a brand called Bell, Liquid multi vitamin complex, I also got Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate carmel chews and Celebrate brand B-12 sublinguals. I have no problem taking them everyday. I was self pay in Mexico, so i did not get a lot fo direction as far as what brands they recommend etc, but I will be having my blood work done this week probably, and will know if I am deficient in anything then. SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted December 5, 2012 Pre-op here...I am using a high quality prenatal Vitamin during my 12 week pre-op VLCD. The dose is two pills so I take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. For post op. I'll be switching to Twinlabs bariatric support simply because they're chewable... It only has 100% of RDA of most Vitamins so the advice I received is to just take two. I'm also taking vitacost brand chewable calcium citrate with vit d3 and magnesium and I'll continue that after surgery. The final supplement I'm taking is a b complex... it's not chewable so I don't know what I'm going to do after surgery. I know they have b-12 dots but I haven't found any chewable b-complex supplements and my Dr. is recommending b-complex.
Fitzy 0 Posted December 5, 2012 I am using Bariatric Advantage Multi Vitamins. I had a tough time with the orange ones (way too sweet), and switched to French vanilla. The French Vanilla ones go down a lot easier.
