mendymayhem 52 Posted December 4, 2012 Ok, I felt prepared for the stall that I knew would come around week three. Well it came and it has yet to leave! I was sleeved 7 weeks ago and haven't lost anything in four weeks. Well, I gained two pounds then lost them again. I'm at twenty four pounds and feel great, but come on! I don't think I'm under eating, and I know I'm not over eating. I'm more active than I've been in years. I do need to increase my Water. I know this is gonna work. If I was eating straight butter I couldn't eat enough to gain weight at this point!! 1 dar1983 reacted to this

Carol Watts 67 Posted December 4, 2012 go get some loaded potato Soup. It will change calorie intake, move more. Increase Protein all those things help break a stall. As long as you are seeing inches going you are still losing. The scales can be and will be your enemy
Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted December 4, 2012 So for me when I stalled I know that my body was struggling with what it was going through. I re-evaluated what I was doing. I found I was eating too much: I cut back to 600-700 calories and one snack three meals a day. I have always been exercising(walking) and I didn't change this. The scale is DEFINITELY your friend. I beleive if you weigh yourself regularly you keep on top of your weight loss(or not). You can make adjustments if it slows or you gain. Keep in mind also processed foods, they have alot of sodium and can slow down weight loss. Try to consume more foods that you prepare rather than pre-made. Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted December 4, 2012 Forgot to say keep your carb consumption low, I really don't eat any carb foods, definitely no fruit.< /p>
delta_girl 931 Posted December 4, 2012 I'm in a week 10 stall and yup, they are no fun. At 500ish calories a day I know I don't need to cut back. I ate around 800 cals yesterday but the scale didn't budge. These dang things happen and drive us nuts. You can try to mix some things up with food or exercise or Water, but when your body wants to take a break its going to have its way. Just keep plugging along. 1 Banned member reacted to this
tmoore4949 9 Posted December 4, 2012 I suggest you keep a food log. You may be shocked at the amount of calories. Have to burn what you take in.
joyful noise 101 Posted December 4, 2012 I am also 7 weeks out, but have only lost 21 pounds, so far. It'll come off; I am not going to go scale crazy. What I lose, I didn't gain. I am being good, but it is hard with the half hour after liquids, solids, 1 hour til liquids again. It takes all day to get the Protein in and I usually get 64 ounces of Water in; trying to get up to 80 oz. I used to drink a gallon of Water (128 oz) before surgery. Fiddleman 4,376 Posted December 4, 2012 Forgot to say keep your carb consumption low' date=' I really don't eat any carb foods, definitely no fruit.[/quote'] Agree. Low carb in take definitely helps with losing faster. Make sure you are hitting a high Protein and Water consumption too, taking your Vitamins daily and sleeping enough. Eat That Frog 53 Posted December 5, 2012 Mendy,,,do you feel like you are losing inches?
mendymayhem 52 Posted December 5, 2012 I never measured, but I am fitting into my older smaller clothes. In general I feel great. But the last several days I've thrown up several times. The slimies I kept hearing about. No fever or pain, just feel icky after I eat. Today I lost my lunch ( a few bite of mild home made chilli ) downtown, on the street. Not my finest moment!
