THANKS...

And Yes... I'm probably not getting enough :( It's hard because I just don't crave fluids that much... I think that I drink 1-2 16 oz bottles per day if I'm lucky :/

This no Water with meals... Or 30 mins before / 30 mins after really makes life a little complicated! :-P

I totally agree. The waiting to drink is hard. I get thirsty when I eat.

Sleeved Nov 14 I have lost 20lbs but I am also in the 3 week stall. Trying hard to get my Water in I drink about 35oz.

Menu

L - egg

D - 1 oz meat

I know I need to eat more and drink more. But I tend to get hungry around 9pm. I'm nauseous a lot of the time. I may vomit at times. Cold other times. My left incision finally stopped hurting on Sunday. I take Colace stool softner. I cannot tolerate Protein shakes I find them toooo sweet.

Sleeved Nov. 7--lost 17 pounds before surgery, lost another 12 after surgery. I have been the same weight for over two weeks, going on three weeks. Don't have any problems tolerating food or beverages so I am lucky there. Really wanted to get another 10 off before Christmas, but can't get the scales to move--ugh!!

I had my sleeve on Nov 13th and in two weeks I lost 35 pounds, week 3 nothing. I gave my girlfriend my scale to hide because I was on the scale 50 times a day and getting discouraged. Hope we all have a great weight loss in the upcoming week.

Ok everyone... I was sleeved on Nov 12th, and weighed 240.

My first week I lost 10 pds and my second another 10... Which was Awesome!!!

But since then "0" WTFudge is going on! :-(

This is my sample menu:

B: 1 EGG OR 5OZ Protein shake

L: 4 SHRIMP OR 2OZ tuna

D: 2OZ SALMON OR 1/4 CRAB meat

SNACK: cheese STICK OR 5OZ Protein Shake

I'm tracking my calories and I am under 300 - 350 max.

What is wrong???

Anyone else struggling???

Is this normal???

this does not seem like enough food or calories overall. How about more Protein Snacks, or supplement with a Protein Shake? Your body will hold onto weight if it feels it is starving..so feed it more food. Make sure you are drinking enough fluids as well.

Is there a nutritionist you could see? I found I was able to tol liquids better after I slowed down in amount of time to drink. What I thought were sips were actually to much. I went to half sips. I had to change protien powder to unflavored. Helped some. I went through kaiser and they have a whole center of Dr's and nutritionists and PA's who follow you. If you have kaiser then chek there. Good luck. Hang in there. One day at a time motto works for me.

'

If you cant keep liquids down I would go in an INSIST to my doc they check your sleeve . You may have some swelling that wont go own .. I was in the hopsital post op for 5 days due to not being able to keep liquids down if youc cant keep down liquids something is wrong.

Is it any liquid, certain liquids ?

Seems like stalls are common in week 3 or 4, I have not lost any weight for several days but im ok with it, im not even on full mushies yet . So im ok with it .

Your body is adjusting stilll just keep doing what your doing . it will come off.

Your not eating ENOUGH .. When i had my lap band surgery the ONLY time i stalled was when i did not eat enough . I know it sounds like 600-800 cals is not enough but it is , but under that your going to put your body in starvation mode.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
