Bariatric Reataurant

Recommended Posts

If there was a really good restaurant that specialized in Phase 1-3 dining would you go to it? Imagine a place where you could get all sorts or homemade Soups and smoothies as well as puréed type dishes AND your non-bariatric friend and family could eat "normal" food too.

Maybe there are home chefs in Hollywood to hire that can do it all and plus any and all bariatric meals too.

So, I guess the thought is on sitting when the waiter comes you tell him you would like to see the list of WLS friendly dishes today. It would be great I guess for those who tire, as does any one, with home cooking and want to get out. Who would not go ?

This would be a restaurant specific to Bariatric Eating. No stigma. If you're in there the assumption is you're recovering. The non-bariatric eaters are the odd ones in this dream. :-)

At the rate that the obese are getting WLS I think this would be a success!! Nice dream!!

So, they might when asked bring a small chair over to the table to acomedate them then, hmmm. The dream you have here may do better after the facts of 1,2,3 stages, when post ops can sit down to meals in comfort. can't see it, we still might be the minority of eaters to small for a resturant like that there Mr. Fatnomo.

sounds like a small or family type place maybe, maybe all good any way the same.

Is this your plan Fatnomo ? or a dream from some frustrating time spent doing so ?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
