Suzy Q 1 Posted October 25, 2006 I was a huge popcorn eater. Right after surgery I would lick a tootsie pop at the movies. Helped alot. Now I enjoy popcorn sometimes. Susan
Lisa99 1 Posted October 25, 2006 I asked my doctor about this at my two-week follow-up since DH and I got to the movie at least once a week. He said no problem one I was to solids stage. His reasoning was that if you chew it to mush all that is really left is the husk of the kernel. So his advice was go slow, chew well and enjoy in small portions...pretty much the bandster mantra
EricBermudez 0 Posted November 8, 2006 In my case pop corn sticks easily in my band. Pop Corn is lightweight, I have trouble eating food that is lightweight.
Carlene 12 Posted November 8, 2006 I can eat popcorn. I buy the low fat, microwave kind and spray it with fake butter (zero calories). Sometimes I can eat a lot, sometimes just a little. Having a Lap Band makes each day a new culinary adventure.
Fauxnaif 1 Posted November 9, 2006 Oh yes, and it doesn't fill me up at all. :success1:
Bawilliams1 1 Posted December 5, 2006 I don't have restriction right now, but even when I do, I have found that I can eat large amounts of popcorn. I guess that's a treat if you stick to the low fat varieties!
