GlendaLee 44 Posted December 1, 2012 I'm 3 days post op and having a real difficult time staying compliant with my meds. Thankfully, my discharge orders said to discontinue some. TheGamer 406 Posted December 1, 2012 Unless the instructions (or your doctor) tells you to crush the meds, be cautious about doing so. Medications are designed to be taken in the form they are dispensed in. What you're doing can cause you to absorb way more than you're supposed to at any one go and can have serious repercussions. GlendaLee 44 Posted December 1, 2012 Surgeon's orders, hospital staff and nutritionist adamant that meds crushed to a powder. Crushing my blood pressure med am, and my sleep aid, and mood pill pm.
