MPrado 19 Posted November 30, 2012 Hi all' date=' I came here to find support and help. My surgery is in 10 days and I feel very scared and I fear I may regret doin it! What do u think?? I am 102 kg and 171 cm ..25 years old. Shall I do it ?? Plz plz plz advice Christine Egypt-Cairo[/quote'] Part of my support team told me that one day I would turn around and this would be just "one of those things I did back then" but because I didn't know anyone who had done any weightloss surgery, I was scared. I feared the unknown. She was right. I researched the sleeve surgery and went to the support group at the hospital clinic. It helped SO much to see actual people who had it done. I am three weeks post surgery and I just had to make the jump. I feel good and look forward to learning what my new body is all about. For now, I am just trying to adjust to food again! Good luck to you!
Tina87 1 Posted November 30, 2012 How was the pain when u work up and the first few days? Was it very hard??
MPrado 19 Posted November 30, 2012 Oh and ps... I was about your height but weighed a little more than you. I know how you feel, everyone kept saying, your not even that big. But with the way I was going, the doctor said I would be in there 10 years from now but probably with diabetes and high blood pressure. And the one thing everyone always said was, they wish they had done it sooner so they could have really started living their life!
ozeedonkee 145 Posted November 30, 2012 Everyone has a different experience. My day of op I was extremely nauseous, sore and fairly out of it. The following day was far better, just a bit of nausea (which subsided when they worked out which med to use). The next day better again And I'd do it all over again for the results I'm seeing 1 Tina87 reacted to this

MPrado 19 Posted November 30, 2012 How was the pain when u work up and the first few days? Was it very hard?? I barely remember waking up. They gave me and antianxiety drug, which apparently is pretty standard here with surgery. Next thing I know, I was waking up in recovery. It was weird, I don't even remember seeing the operating room or surgeon... They give you lots of pain medicine when you wake up, I was scared. I thought it would hurt but it didn't, I slept a lot the first two days! I would say, the worst part was having to drink the medicine. It tasted bitter. That was about my worst part. I felt like a child not wanting to take it!
I love my dachshunds 14 Posted November 30, 2012 Hey Tina, You will find so much support here. Worrying is normal, we just have to focus on the end results. My surgery is Dec.5. and I too am very worried. I just try to think about all the pretty clothes I'll be able to wear. How it will feel to comfortable in my own skin again. Good luck with your surgery I know you will be just fine. 1 Tina87 reacted to this

They put a motion sickness patch behind my ear. It worked so good. I took the last one off at home, as soon as I took it off, I got sick!
