Mine didn't, but I'm old. Maybe it might on a younger person, or just another person, but nope, my butt and thighs look like heck.

My journey has been fantastic! I should be the poster child for VSG!! I had no complications, just a blood pressure issue while in the hospital, but that's normal for me. I've lost weight rapidly and steadily. And I tolerate almost all foods and seems I can take portions a little larger than most. I could not be happier with my journey and my results.

I will say that overall my skin has fared better than expected. The boobs didn't deflate, the tummy is not too bad, the upper arms are about what I expected. The good news is that my face and neck fared very well. The bad news is I did not expect my butt and thighs to be so saggy and, well, "empty". But I haven't worn shorts in years and haven't had a swim suit on in 23 years, so I don't really care! I look good in all my new clothes!

Best thing I ever did.

How much weight did you lose per month? Did you experience any stalls? I am at 9 1/2 weeks and I am down 30 pounds. BUt the last few weeks it has been like one pound every week and a half or 2. Is that normal??

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
