ozeedonkee 145 Posted November 29, 2012 Probably ketosis. I'm the same except my breath is pretty revolting too
TheGamer 406 Posted November 29, 2012 I have that issue at night so I sleep with a bottle of Water on the bedside. It's not uncommon for me to wake up a couple times at all, drink, and go back to sleep. During the day it's much easier to deal with. No idea if it gets any better, though
LizInTexas 125 Posted November 29, 2012 definately have dry mouth and dragon breath... I think it's Ketosis as well... Thank goodness for sugar free breath mints !!!

SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted November 29, 2012 I'm Definitely NOT looking forward to this when I start my pre-op VLCD! I've done a 30 day juice fast and also a VLCD in the past and I remember this feeling well. First time it happened to me, I felt like my teeth were made of caterpillars and no amount of brushing could fix it. eeewwwwwwww.
newgrandmother 725 Posted November 29, 2012 googled it and its part of ketosis
suzthebrit 146 Posted November 29, 2012 It's definitely ketosis and its definitely gross! I have found the Tums Freshers are fantastic! They are really minty, help with nasty tummy and are full of calcium! Win, win, win. My question is does it ever go away?
jknox65 1 Posted November 29, 2012 Try squeezing some lemon into the Water.
nanaspez 58 Posted November 29, 2012 Biotene works real good. I also have sjogrens syndrome which leaves my mouth dry. Biotene is a toothpaste and mouth wash. Maybe that would work for you as well.
