I'm a little over one month post-op and I'm consuming between 200-500 calories, depending on the day. 500 is extremely high for me, but extremely low according to my nutritionist and surgeon. Everyone is is different though.

I'm between 500-700 most days. Remember, while calories are important, what's more important is the protein/vitamins aspect. Most of us have some significant weight to lose, so even if we were consuming 1000-1500 calories a day, we'd still be losing weight.

I find that I have to eat every few hours at this point to get my Protein in by the end of the day, usually about 100 calories at a time.

At my 1 mo. check-up I was told 90g of carbs and 1000-1200 cals. I struggle to get 600-700 per day! I am really focusing on 70+ grams of Protein now that I'm back in the gym

I'm so relieved to hear that someone else is struggling to reach that caloric intake! I mean, I'm sorry you're struggling, but it's nice to know I'm not alone! ;)

I am starting my 7th week. I set MyFitnessPal for 800 calories but it is usually in the low 600's. I shoot for at least 60 grams of Protein and set my carbs for 60 but it is usually in those 20's or 30's. I have been at the low 600 number since I started "real food" at 4 weeks.

This makes me feel better! Thanks......I was worried I was eating to much, lol

How can you eat to much when you cant eat more than2-3 tbs;). I guess I'm paranoid!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Hard to believe everyone can do so well on so little calories. I guess that's why I'm still chubby, considering surgery. A new normal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
