How long is everyone taking off from work? I work a desk job and am planning on going back 5 days after.

Im taking the week off from work. I don't work a desk job but my job is easy. I also go to school at night. My anatomy class is on the day I have surgery, so I will miss that one. I have another on Tuesday but I will attend that one which willl be a struggle

Anyone starting to try Protein Shakes, researching Vitamins, tasting Unjury? ? I'm February 5th so I need to start preparing!!! It's overwhelming!!

My liquid diet begins on February 4th and my surgeon suggested that I use his specially formulated brand of Meal Replacement (of course he does$$$) in all honesty they arent too expensive $29.99 per canister and they reccomend that you buy 3 to last throughout your whole liquid phase, but there is a fella from my area that i got connected with through this forum that gave me his leftovers and I am trying them out...2 shakes a day and 1 meal... They arent bad at all and it's only like 160 calories per shake! I'm pretty sure you can order them online...i will get the name when I get home

I have a desk job (6p-6a) and I will be returning after 2 weeks(taking sick time). But just a coincidence I have vacation the week after I'm released (: so it will be 3 weeks total.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
