salsha 114 Posted March 31, 2013 I was sleeved 2/20 and am Ginger slowly but steadily. Have lost 25 including pre op and 17 since DOS but am down two pant sizes from 24 to 18 today We're practically twins. I was sleeved on the 21, down 28 total, 12 were pre-op. Only difference is I need to be more grateful and optimistic like you. I finally weighed myself today after two weeks and not a change in scale, I've been bummed all day about it. 1 mvickyway reacted to this

ebausserman 0 Posted April 4, 2013 I was sleeved on 6 FEB. I have been enjoying the ride so far. I lost alot of weight very quickly, now I have slowed down. I made it through the stall and now I am back to losing the weight. I returned to work and seem to be OK, I just have a little bit of discomfort in my lower left abdomen. It feels like when I was trying to get rid of the extra gas I had the first couple days after the surgery. Has anyone else had this issue?
QueenBee41 11 Posted April 4, 2013 Hello February sleepers. I had my 7 week checkup today (missed my 6 wk because I was in the ER). I am down 35 lbs so far. Not too bad. I was doing absolutely GREAT until last Wednesday. I woke up at 3 am in horrible pain that I knew was a kidney fine. I went to the ER and it was confirmed to be a kidney stone. Of course I let them know I was sleeved and was freaking out my pains could be sleeve related. A CT showed my sleeve was fine. Thank goodness. The stone passed and I thought all was ok.. Until Sunday. Yep I was back in the ER with another kidney stone! Ultrasound revealed I have 3 more stones in my left kidney and 1 in my right. I am not looking forward to passing those. I have been so nauseous for a week now. I have not been able to eat, take my Vitamins, get my Protein in, or drink my Water. I am existing on SF Popsicles. I literally feel like I have just gone back 5 weeks. I hope this passes and things will get back to where they were.

My doctor today assured me its just my kidneys and if it was my sleeve I would be much sicker. It still makes me nervous. I guess I should be happy I finally lost my appetite! AllSmiles 22 Posted April 4, 2013 Had bbq chicken today. Been hard figuring out what my tummys tellin me and what different pains are. Walkin on elliptical. Been out of the hospital for a week today. Had all my drains pulled today. Starting to feel normal. After the kidney stones are over and you start to feel normal again it will get better. food will be delicious. Flavors are great, food goes down better. I still have problems with Water, hot beverages go down better for me. And for some reason I crave milk lol but you'll be great soon. Still praying for you! 1 TES reacted to this

QueenBee41 11 Posted April 5, 2013 oh definatley. How are you feeling. Kidney stones are painful. Ive had only one before. I am doing pretty good. Haven't had any pain in the last 48 hours so I may be on the mend. I still don't have an appetite and I am trying really hard to get my liquids in, but I'm not too successful. Protein is just out of the question right now. Ugh.

erp 2,016 Posted April 11, 2013 So I was sleeved in march but I was wondering if anyone can tell me what there phase 3 diet looks like? Ill be one month out on the 12th!:-) Is stage three soft foods for you? If so, there are lots of food choices, egg salad, soft deli meats, meatballs, cheese, cottage cheese, etc. My food today included cottage cheese and apple sauce, a mini babybel cheese, broccoli cheddar Soup, a few bites of a cooked red potato, Mexican chicken bake (shredded chicken, cheese, salsa), a Protein Shake for Breakfast.< /p> 1 Skinnyminded reacted to this
JustSayMoe 163 Posted April 14, 2013 I'm a Valentines day sleever. It's my two month surgiversary. I'm down 55 from the date of surgery and 72 from the start of my preop diet (10 weeks ago) . Yeah it's a lot, but when start at 397 the weight loss is much faster due the amount of calories required to maintain that weight. I work out a minimum of 30 minutes per day everyday, but most days are between 60 and 80 minutes. As far as food goes I'm eating around 800 to 900 calories with at least 90 grams of Protein (I'll burn about 500 - 600 off at the gym). No problems tolerating anything. No vomiting ever after surgery. I'm drinking plenty, I'll typically stop counting after I hit 64 oz in the early afternoon. I'm guessing that I'm drinking at least 100 oz a day. Everything is just peachy and way easier than I expected. My body still looks pretty good, but I will probably need plastic surgery on my stomach. It's the only place that I'm concerned with at this time. I have about 100 more pounds to drop before I hit my goal. I hope to be there by fall, I know things will slow down with the weight going away. 1 TES reacted to this
