Girl yes! I just started soft foods and what a difference it makes!!!

Meanwhile 2 weeks post op and 21lbs lighter I can't believe what a noticeable difference I see in my clothes and reflection. My tummy is even flatter and it doesn't hang as low! lol Absolutely amazing.

:( I'm on day 6 post op and I don't feel much better today than any other day. My inductions are fine I am just still having a hard time getting anything down. They fixed my hyatial hernia but others on here don't seem to have the problems :(. I just wanna feel good again. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow but just taking a shower leaves me short of breath and exhausted. Please someone tell me it gets better ....

I didn't have a hernia that I know of. I am on day four post op my left side is still very sore I drink every 15 minutes like im supposed to but im ALWAYS thirsty. I am not having any issues keeping things down but I still get very short breathed when even just goinv pee. I have to sit there before I stand back up be cause I know how strenuous it is going to be to do so. I hope things get better for you. Please do not rush yourself back to work.

YES! I'm still on Clear Liquids until Monday when I get to move up to puréed. When I have a Popsicle or broth (aka meals) I am not full at all. Luckily I am filling that with making sure to get my liquids in. I can't wait for some Turkey chili!

Turkey chilli, piece of fish, a slice of a coldcut, anything but liquid lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
