LizTex2587 212 Posted February 20, 2013 I'm doing so much better today! After coming out of recovery and getting to my room I was absolutely miserable. The gas pain was unbearable, but it's gotten better each day. Hope everyone else is doing well!

The gas pains were horrid when I got out of recovery...felt like I was having a heart attack! Just walk, and breathe deeply. That's the best thing for the gas pain. brooked 10 Posted February 20, 2013 Yesterday was the day for me. I've officially been sleeved for 24 hours now. I had some gas pains at first but once I burped a few time it went away. Until then the heating pad really did help. I dont have a pain pump. Instead I have 2 soaker hose type things that are implanted down both sides of my belly that slowly release pain meds. The left side is working better than the right but still all in all the pain is not that bad. Easily controlled by the Tylenol with codeine I'm taking. I've only been able to get down about about 20-25 ounces of Protein Shake, Jello, and broth in the last 24 hours. I can definitely feel it going down. It's a weird sensation. I hope all my fellow 19th sleevers are doing well. See you on the losers bench!
