How tall are you?

I was sleeved on the same day. My pre surgery weight was 216 and was 212 the day of surgery. I am now bouncing between 176-178.

I was sleeved on Sept. 4th. So far, down 48 lbs, including the 15 I lost before surgery. I've been very fortunate so far, can tolerate most foods now except for milk. I seem to be lactose intolerant now, it upsets my stomach, but I do eat cheese. Can't do ice cream, but some frozen yogurt. I eat a lot of greek yogurt. Haven't really had any problems, just have to be mindful of how much I eat, still trying to figure out that one. About a cup of food total now is about right, sometimes too much depending on what it is. Still have to make myself not to drink for at least 40 minutes after I eat. I am very happy I had this surgery and very thankful I have not had issues with vomiting.

I'm 5'1 and 3/4 lol... the hardest thing for me is not being able to eat and drink at the same time. I swear I'm dying of thirst after one bite. Other than that I have been great

I haven't thrown up yet, but I have overeaten a few times and it was very uncomfortable. I still drink shakes, though not every day. I do notice that when I don't drink a shake it is more difficult for me to get in enough Protein. I either use Isopure and mix it in a blender with ice or drink the Muscle Milk Light chocolate with 100 cals. I eat a lot of Greek yogurt, too. I have been trying a lot of things, but not raw vegetables or fruit yet, and no steak. I'm in no hurry for those. The things that seem to upset my stomach so far is pineapple, more than just a taste of sugar, turnips, onions, but again I have only recently been reintroducing a variety of foods.

My two worst experiences were when I tried to eat something that had sugar in it.

My Snacks are Greek yogurt, Ostrim, sugar free Jello Gelatin or pudding, Goldfish crackers, ...I need to work on adding more variety here.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
